National Bike to School Day

The Resource Center hopes your school will have an outstanding event for National Bike to School Day on May 10, 2017.

This page includes some great information and materials for your event from planning, to safety education, to holding the event.

Register your event

Bike to School Day will be here before you know it!  Whether or not you participated in Georgia Walk to School Day, plan to hold an event for National Bike to School Day on May 10, 2017 (or any day in May).

Registration is now open at WalkBiketoSchool, so register your event today.

Plan your event

Consider holding a bicycle rodeo using the Resource Center's Bicycle Rodeo Toolkit.

Check out the materials below to help make your event outstanding!

We’ve created a series of way-finding signs to use for National Bike to School Day – or for any walking and biking to school event. Choose from 3 different type or mix match:

Biking only
Walking only
Walking and Biking

How to use the signs

The signs are formatted for printing on 11 x 17 paper, portrait.

Post them in places where they are easy to see and easy to read; close to where students walk or bike; and at places where students need to make a turn or continuing traveling.

Most of all, have fun and use safe walking and biking habits.
