Nominate your School or Community Organization for SRTS Partner or SRTS Friend of the Year

Each school year, the Resource Center recognizes one Partner School of the Year in each outreach region that has achieved great success in establishing or building a SRTS program during the school year. This year, we're also introducing a SRTS Friend of the Year category! SRTS Friends are community stakeholder organizations that support SRTS-related programs, strategies, and goals.

Information on past recipients in at this link.

Ready to nominate a Partner school or SRTS support organization?

Or email your SOC if you cannot access the nomination forms.

Nominations due Friday, April 17, 2020.

If you know of a school in your community with a great SRTS program, take a few minutes to nominate them for the Partner of the Year award!

Schools will be selected based on their success in establishing a SRTS program, including the following:

  • The school has fulfilled the commitments of its partnership level.
  • The school has increased the number of SRTS activities, walking and biking events, or the number of students walking and biking to school.
  • The school has increased the awareness of SRTS within its community.
  • The school serves as a resource for other schools.that may be starting or building a SRTS program.

A SRTS Friend supports SRTS-related events, education, and other strategies working toward more children walking and bicycling safely in our communities and to and from schools.  Partner Friends of the Year will be selected based on their support of SRTS prorams.

Nominations are being accepted now through April 17, so nominate the school or Friend you feel is most deserving of these awards! Schools and Friends can be nominated multiple times by multiple people, so be sure to spread the word, but number of nominations does not guarantee award.

You may nominate more than one school and/or organization, but a new form is required for each.
